Dr. Lucy McBride is a native Washingtonian. She attended the National Cathedral School, Princeton University, Harvard Medical School, where she graduated with honors. She was a 1996 Fulbright scholar at the University of Cambridge, UK, where she earned a Masters Degree in Pharmacology.

Dr. McBride completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She then spent several years on the Emergency Medicine faculty at Hopkins.

Dr. McBride practices general internal medicine with special interests in the long-term management of hypertension, heart disease, lipid disorders, and diabetes. She is also interested in mental health issues, and managing those issues to promote patients’ physical and overall well being.

Dr. McBride is a member of the clinical staff at Sibley Memorial. She is board certified in Internal Medicine. She lives in the District of Columbia with her husband and three children.
