Powerhouse political journalist Martha MacCallum has always had a love for story, and for the story behind the story. And, while her life’s goal may not always have been television journalism, the fundamentals of what she does and why she does it so well, have always been there along with a voracious curiosity and need to understand and explain “why.” Her aptly named top-rated, daily show “The Story with Martha MacCallum” on Fox News Channel, along with her podcast “The Untold Story,” allows her to dig beyond the headlines of the most compelling news of our time. So, it’s not surprising that she would apply that same passion to a story that is much more personal to her family and that she has now commemorated in “Unknown Valor,” her first book published earlier this year.
In Episode 105, I talk to Martha about her career, and how writing “Unknown Valor” impacted her, as well as how it has inspired important lessons she hopes to impart to her own children about bravery, patriotism, and sacrifice.
